Leslie Scruggs, Loop with Element, Black Walnut on Stainless Steel Base, 22.5" x 10" x 5" Biography Leslie Scruggs Leslie Scruggs was born and raised in the south side of Chicago. He has been reaching sculpture for over 30 years, first in Chicago and now in northern Michigan. Scruggs went to Belize in Central America where he learned to carve from working with the incredible Belizean craftsmen who made beautiful mahogany sailboats. Besides, being a master wood carver, he is also a well respected teacher of wooden sculpture. His work is exhibited in numerous public collections to include the Chicago Public Library.
